The diverse and multi-talented German artist Pantha du Prince has worked in music (Dial Records, Rough Trade) and conceptual art, and is known for producing interdisciplinary performance experiences that mix that full spectrum. At Lunchmeat Festival, he will present a new audiovisual collaboration with Hendrik Weber und Simon Krahl, based on filming real-world objects. It comes at a perfect moment: the artist’s first solo release in years, The Triad, has earned acclaim for its packed extraveganza of synthesizers and live instrumentation, inputs from Bendik Kjeldsberg and Scott Mou (of Bell Laboratory), and compositional acrobatics. With his music making a bold launch from expansive ambient form to fully-orchestrated dancefloor power, this is sure to be electronic music on a scale grand enough to surprise and awe again.
