The meeting of the two twisted minds exploring the aesthetics of coldness and desolation across various media. Formidable minimal techno producer Anthony Linell and acclaimed video artist Ali M. Demirel join forces on Winter Ashes, a stunning and unsettling work that studies the Icelandic landscape as a motor for mythology.

Anthony Linell is a mastermind of Stockholm’s Northern Electronics label together with Varg, with whom he formed Ulwhednar. Under his own name Linell connects the realms of techno and experimental electronic music.

The foundation for Ali M. Demirel’s approach to experimental video is informed by his background in physics and architecture. He has worked on music videos for Richie Hawtin, made live visuals for Fennesz, performed at countless music and media arts festivals internationally, as well as presented work at museums and galleries such as Guggenheim in New York and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.
