Lee Gamble
(AV live)

Whether he is rescuing the ghosts of UK hardcore and jungle or deconstructing club beats, Lee Gamble is one of the most important and innovative producers working in the field of electronic music in the last decade. An artist, producer, and DJ of exploratory electronic/dance music, Gamble has released a string of critically acclaimed albums and EP’s on seminal electronic music labels PAN and Hyperdub, and since 2015 also runs his own UIQ imprint, releasing essential music from the likes of Zuli and Nkisi.

Lee Gamble’s work combines the sculptural sound objects of musique concrète and the ever mutating dancefloor mechanics of the contemporary club culture. He’s created several works spanning the conceptual, dreamlike, and hallucinatory dancefloor: albums such as ‘Diversions 1994-1996′, ‘KOCH’, ‘Mnestic Pressure’ and ‘Flush Real Pharynx 2019-2021′ opened new dimensions for experimental club music, merging templates of techno with abstractions of jungle.

His recent work explores the technological and social implications of AI & machine learning, and he is also interested in human simulation and representation. His new album ‘A Million Pieces of You’ was written in a time when the subjective experience of overload came to a halt, giving way to an overbearing sense of loss, burnout and a desperate need for hope.
