The master of dark beauty returns: David Ainley — aka Holy Other — created nocturnal, otherworldly music that some called witch house across the 2010’s, most notably the ‘With U’ and ‘Held’ releases for the legendary Tri Angle label that stand the test of time as some of the most vital electronic records of the last decade. Last years´ album ‘Lieve’ marked the return of Holy Other after four years of silence, the introverted sonic sculptures emerging from exploring within the unusual acoustics of the repurposed artist studios within Bidston Observatory, UK. His performance for Lunchmeat Festival sees Ainley collaborating with acclaimed visual artist Pedro Maia, who creates landscapes evocative of both microbial and universal detail and design, alchemically sourced from 16mm and 8mm film material.
