Feel the ritual! Berlin-based electronic music composer and sound artist Hüma Utku mixes field recordings, acoustic instruments and atmospheric ambience into her strange, otherworldly recordings. With the help of Jungian psychology, mysticism and folklore, she composes music to narrate stories dwelling deep in the human psyche. This year´s album ‘The Psychologist, a dark ambient odyssey recounting shared experiences of trauma, was released on Editions Mego. The visions of ‘The Psychologist’ come alive with the help of visual artist Utku Önal who works with the disturbing aesthetics of body horror cinema.
