Berlin-based producer and DJ Charlie Baldwin named his project Cocktail Party Effect after the phenomenon detailing humans’ ability to pick out one sound from many; allowing us to tune into a single conversation at a noisy event. Cocktail Party Effect (formerly Kaset) certainly knows a thing or two about parties, with his trademark clattering post-dubstep beats sounding like a mirror of disjointed late night conversation between club survivors. Techno, UK bass and IDM crash into each other in an abstract sonic painting of full-on rave sonics. Luchmeat\u00b4s Jan Hladil creates live AV for Cocktail Party Effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
