Alien vocal acrobatics and posthuman forms of music — Marina Herlop is a classical pianist turned electronic sorceress who makes music of sheer spectral elegance. After the success of her debut Nanook in 2016, she integrated synths and assorted electronic sounds on the follow-up, Babasha. With last year´s Pripyat she created her most intensely emotional work to date, which was hailed as one of the best albums of 2022 in music magazines such as Pitchfork, Crack and Resident Advisor. At Lunchmeat Marina Herlop and her quartet will perform the chimeric compositions and dreamlike landscapes in Prague for the first time.
