Qow, the alias of Prague-based audiovisual artist Omar El Sadek, specialises in heady and experimental electronic sound production indebted to the frequencies of his home city of Cairo, alongside painting and creating animated visuals in his work with physical media. His debut album ‘Dawafer’ was released through Genot Centre, while his sophomore release — ‘ElMosameh Sherine’ — arrives in September through the Egyptian label & collective Irsh.
