‘Rhizomes’ is a concept developed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guatarri, presenting an evolving model with no beginning and no end, always growing; a rhizomatic root spreads to meet others. Sound material harvested from Angel Bat Dawid, Nicholas Jaar and Moor Mother creates a singular sonic entity, addressing questions of identity, collaboration and appropriation, and the crossbreeding and evolution of cultures.
