As one of the most interesting and forward-thinking producers in the contemporary electronic dance scene, Slikback is no stranger to adventures of various kinds. Pairing with experimental animation visual artist Weirdcore rings in a new and dynamic chapter in the career of a club mutant. VOID is an audiovisual journey in which anime and manga heroes meet postcolonial visions of afrofuturism. Weirdcore´s visuals are mischievous and subversive in its nature, but at the same time uncompromising, which holds true for Slikback´s ruthless soundworld. Together, they show the future that was stolen from the non-western world, and how they seek to reclaim it.
