Donato Dozzy and Neel met twelve years ago at the legendary Labyrinth Festival in Gunma Prefecture, Japan, and Voices from the Lake was born while gazing at the majestic mountain range encompassing the festival site. United by their love of experimental electronics, their self-titled debut in 2012 featured slowly evolving patterns and minimalist textures in a hypnotic soundscape evoking natural elements and emotions. A huge milestone in ambient techno, the album was re-released last year, and with it, Voices from the Lake return to touring, amidst whispers of a new record from the two legends said to be in the works.
