Swiss-born Aïsha Devi is one of the most outstanding names in electronic music of the last decade. Blending a mysticism inspired by her indigenous Nepalese heritage with a sharpened club intelligence, hers is a “dislocated pop music” which refracts the complexity of life through spiritualism’s kaleidoscopic perspective. Brandishing the power of her voice, Aïsha’s ‘Les Immortelles” live show is modelled on her latest album, ‘Death Is Home’ (Houndsooth 2023), and seeks to unravel the strict boundaries of life and death, suggesting experiences of the body and spirit beyond what Western mentality can provide.
Joining Aïsha Devi for the presentation of ‘Les Immortelles’ at Lunchmeat 2024 is respected visual artist Emmanuel Biard. Biard works closely with the legendary Fabric club in London, and provided the lighting spectacle that accompanied Evian Christ’s ‘REVANCHIST’ performance at Lunchmeat 2023.
