3FOR82

Sat 28 Sep, Trade Fair Palace

As Machinedrum, American producer Travis Stewart has been consistently at the forefront of electronic music for over two decades: with multiple solo albums for two of the most influential British labels in Planet Mu and Ninja Tune, and several high-profile collaborations with Om Unit as Dream Continuum, with Jimmy Edgar as JETS, and as his celebrated side project, Sepalcure. In May 2024, he released his latest LP, a 12-track album with almost as many guest collaborators. Stewart’s sound on 3FOR82 is bright, clearly influenced by UK bass music subcultures like Jungle, Drum and Bass and UK Garage, intertwined with popular American music such as trap and hip hop.

A legendary figure of the global electronic music scene, Machinedrum touches down at Lunchmeat Festival 2024 with visual art from David Wexler (fka Strangeloop), who has collaborated with Flying Lotus, The Weeknd, Bonobo or Erykah Badu. Incorporating advanced AI techniques into his distinctive digital designs, Wexler highlights the potential of AI as a unique tool for creative expression and the synthesis of new media art.
