Hailing from Jordan and based in Amman, where he co-curates the MNFA events space and club, Toumba is one of the greatest success stories of the Arab musical world of the last few years: rising to prominence with releases for All Centre, the influential Hessle Audio, and the experimental dance label Nervous Horizon, Toumba’s unique sound is creatively informed by the microtonality, rhythm and timbre of his Levantine heritage, all while providing a bassy punch that has been tested on dancefloors worldwide.
Toumba performs a specially commissioned World Premiere live set at Lunchmeat Festival with Prague-based visual artist Kristyna Sildàrová AKA sida100 providing the visual component. A 3D artist and graphic designer working closely in the Prague scene, composing graphics and artwork for infamous hardstyle party Whiskas. She was among the first artists to exhibit AR face filters at the Tate Modern in London, and her short film 𝔇𝔦𝔤𝔦𝔱𝔞𝔩 ℭ𝔩𝔦𝔪𝔞𝔱𝔢 ℑℑ – I just want to feel solid ground under my feet was selected for the program of the 26th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.
