Bringing gestural interfaces and wearable tech in conjunction with conceptual electronica and contemporary sound art, Montreal-based musician Myriam Bleau and Taiwanese-Canadian artist Nien Tzu Weng investigate the ever-present confusion and insecurity associated with presenting oneself digitally online: what faces do we wear, and do they look back at our organic bodies with the same emotions? Created over a series of artist residencies, including at iii in the Hague, L.E.V. in Gij\u00f3n and Malm\u00f5\u2019s Inkonst. Second Self has been premiered at L.E.V. and presented at Son\u00e1r Barcelona, and will land at Lunchmeat Festival 2024 to bewitch and inspire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
