Never shying from challenging the comfort of their audience, Hakeem Lapointe’s live performances as Amselysen are known for their chaotic interventions, a unique sense of subversion, and hyper-dynamic blends of electronic compositions — little wonder they’ve shared stage with acts such as Caterina Barbieri, Lorenzo Senni, Dreamcrusher or Jesse Osborne-Lathier. Their debut album, ‘Hypnagogic Surge’, and its follow-up ‘Organe Solare’, were released through Prague’s Genot Centre label in 2020 and 2022 respectively, and remain bright examples of exploratory electronic music to the present day.
