American artist, composer, and choreographer Colin Self’s work centres on themes of gender, compassion and communication, woven together from a fabric made from opera, performance art, drag and puppetry. Self performs as part of a trio with Holly Herndon and Matt Dryhurst, who supported Radiohead’s 2016 tour.  

After performances at Donau festival Austria, and PAF in Olomouc, Czechia, Self brings their brand new show, ‘Gasp!’, to Lunchmeat 2025. Returning to an ongoing exploration, the creation of a ‘sonic shrine’, in their new show Self honours queer ancestry, and celebrates the ground hard won by a deceased community.
