When it comes to sound business, there’s not many names in the game like Goh Nakada, aka Gorgonn: a gifted sound tech who has worked with The Bug, Hype Williams, Seefeel and others, Nakada’s albums Disintegration Dubs with JK Flesh, and Six Paths for Shanghai-based SVBKVLT, bare a noise aficionado’s love for grain and texture, and a dub scientist’s tact with bassweight. 

Gorgonn and Utku Önal’s joint audiovisual performance, created for the Six Paths album, debuted at le Guess Who? in 2024, curated by Bo Ningen. Owing inspiration to the six paths of the afterlife in Japanese Buddhism, Önal crafts an “experimental movie based on the album’s concept”, reinventing the aesthetic rules of horror cinema with new media tools, a match for Gorgonn’s frequency-based assault; sci-fi steppas for the noisewall gang.
