As MONOCOLOR, Vienna-based audiovisual artist Marian Essl explores the interrelation of sound and image in his performance- and installation-based works. Generative imagery flits between fluid textures and rigidity in an evolving exploration of sound, image, light and space. Presented inside Prague’s Planetarium, ‘Entangled Structures’ is an audiovisual work for full-dome screens, forming an abstract structure from interconnected monochromatic strings in an ephemeral virtual sculpture that comments on the melding of our digital and physical selves.
