Brazilian performance artist Yan Higa helps define what multidisciplinary can mean. Also releasing numerous singles and collaborations (such as with Galen Tipton) by the moniker Yvu, as Yan Higa they’ve released ‘Calmaria’, a compilation of music, a digital zine and online exhibition of physical sculptural work, alongside their debut album ‘Sylum’, all collected on Higa’s Acta Recordings label.  

Lunchmeat Festival has commissioned Yan Higa to perform an as-yet-unseen audiovisual performance, created prior to the festival during the first edition of a new residency programme by Lunchmeat Studio. Fluent in developing new languages of performance through sound production and experimentation, “excited” hardly captures it…
